Where are you located and how do I get my puppy?
We are located in Des Moines, IA. When picking up your puppy, you must bring a crate or have an adult able to hold a puppy for travel home. We want a safe trip for the driver and puppy. If you want one of our puppies but don't live close, that's ok! We work with some great people that will help transport your puppy to you via ground transportation.
If you want to fly in to pick up your puppy, the closest airport is in Des Moines, IA.

There are several great pet ground transporters that will deliver your puppy right to your front door. We have compiled a list for you here:
Can I come and meet the puppies?
No, we do not accept visitors without a deposit, and we do not accept visitors before the pups are 8 weeks old.
The safety of our puppies, dogs, and family will always be placed above a potential sale.
-
Puppies are still developing their little immune systems and are not protected by vaccinations and maturity yet. (People can inadvertently—or even intentionally—carry diseases in on their shoes, hands, and clothing).
-
We have to protect the health of our dams. Visitors are a significant source of stress for nursing moms. Science shows that stress produces cortisol and other stress hormones, and those hormones go into mom’s milk and is passed onto the puppies. Stressed moms also can get frantic and accidentally roll on or step on newborn puppies if they panic.
-
We are a real family, with a real life. We have other responsibilities inside and outside of our home and we prioritize any additional time that we have with spending time raising our puppies and children.
-
Significant harm has come to people like breeders who work in home-type environments where unknown people are routinely invited in. We have to protect ourselves and our children.
-
These puppies are also not ours to risk—they belong to the families that are taking them home and we are just their caretakers for a brief period of time.
To help families be a part of their puppy's raising, We make weekly posts and will update you weekly with individual pictures of the puppies, what growth they have gone through, what's been happening around our house, and any recommendations I have for preparing for your pup. It's truly a fun interactive experience and I know how exciting it can be waiting on your little one to come home!
Will they have been seen by a Vet. Will they have had shots and worming?
We do vaccines at 8 weeks and worming at 2, 4, 6, and 8 weeks of age. All our puppies will be vet checked before leaving but will need more vaccinations and worming as they get older.
Do you have a health guarantee?
We provide a 1 yr health guarantee with all our puppies.
What type of puppy food do you feed?
We start the puppies out on a puppy food called Diamond puppy food in the purple bag. Please purchase this to make the transition from our home to your home the easiest possible for your puppy!
Have the puppies been started on potty, crate, or house training?
To help our puppies have a good start we use puppy culture. The age of the puppy determines how much training they have before they leave. All of the puppies get a good start on potty training by watching their mom go outside to go potty. At 8 weeks old, it is still very difficult for the puppies to be able to “hold it” for a long period of time. As the puppies get older, we will start them on crate training, which helps with potty training. We try to make the transition from our home to yours as easy as possible, but the training time varies with age and temperament. Some puppies catch on a lot faster than others.
Do you accept deposits to reserve a puppy?
Yes, we accept non-refundable deposits of $100 to hold the puppy of your choice.
What are the different payment options?
We accept Zelle, Venmo or CASHApp for deposits and CASH at pick up.
Do you do health testing on the parents?
Yes, we have had testing done on the parents. BUT even though we do testing on our parents it has been found that only 12 percent of dogs with health issues can be considered genetic. So this means any dog can come up with a health problem even if parents are clear of such problem. We also DNA test the parents for common diseases for their breed. Our dogs are also DNA cleared by parentage meaning that both parents are tested clear thus their puppies would also be clear of those diseases.
What age do you release your puppies?
We let our puppies go home at 8 weeks or older. Sometimes we may require a little longer stay with us if a puppy isn’t quite ready to go at 8 weeks. It is what’s best for the puppy not what’s best for you.
Do you remove dewclaws?
We keep front dews on our doodles. They are basically a thumb, attached by 5 tendons. Dogs use them for torque in a run, to climb, and to hold things. If they are properly maintained, they shouldn't cause any issues. It is very easy to maintain dewclaws, just remind your groomer at each visit. If you still feel that you want to removed the dewclaws they can be removed when your dog is getting spayed/neutered.
Please check out this article with some more information about why we believe dogs should keep their dewclaws.
